what’s happening
There is a special event happening on or around the 16th of July commemorating the worst radioactive accident in US history - (few know about it) It is the 30th anniversary of the Church Rock UNC Puerco wash spill. Three mile island is an event we all know about but few know about the fact that 14 weeks later, an even bigger event happened on the Navajo Nation. See the attached document to learn about what happened. The president of the Navajo Nation will be there, and it should be an interesting time. We are encouraging all to attend who can. There is no danger fyi. We have been there many times with folks with testers, etc. We are there to support the community and document the event.
An event in planning stages sponsored by MASE, a 30th year commemoration of the UNC Tailings Spill. I told the group that you’re interested in filming some of the event. Agenda will be forthcoming. Basicly, gather at Teddy Nez’s house, prayers and march to dam break site(1mile), speeches, then continue with march to my entrance gate(3miles) where NN Prez and Vice will speak. Drive to Churchrock Chapter House for lunch and more speeches, end about 1pm. 5pm-8pm at UNM-G 2 film showing and Post-71 presentation.
All is well, we are planning some new exciting things with many involved people. Hope you can make it!!
